What happens when food because of the preparation, the chemical modification or destruction no longer contains vitality? Strictly speaking, there is no food, but a dead food, even if it still view chemical from the same matter is still the preparation or change.

Pasteurized milk - milk dead
The milk of the dam, we then undergo a procedure which according to German food law is necessary for 
the milk in a grocery store may sell: it is pasteurized, in order to make longer tenable. The milk is not with the milk of other cows mixed.
Examines the pasteurized milk, we find that it’s still the same calcium and protein content - it has therefore not changed chemically. For the biochemist is therefore not a problem, the calf with the so-treated milk supply, because the important building blocks are still available. Ernährt to the calf but only with this pasteurized milk, it is not very old. At least three weeks after the calf is dead!
How is this possible, but where chemically sees everything was in order? What has changed by the treatment changed so that the calf die? The pasteurisation, the crystalline structure of the Milky destroyed. Without this structure, it is no longer on the geometry, and it is no or only a modified form of energy measured. The milk is no longer alive.
